CONCRETENESS

Concreteness is the opposite of utopia. All the sculptures in the exhibition are made of concrete, a material associated with strength, durability, and brutal ordinariness. However, the nature of concrete also implies fragility and fracture. The use of concrete in art turns it into a rough, concrete poetry, interweaving layers of time, unfinished and final in an unequal balance.

CONCRETENESS was displayed in March 2023 Galleria Sculptor in Helsinki, Finland

The exhibition has been supported by the Arts Promotion Center Finland and the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
